Captain Gordip Singh Jassal founded CGSJ Consulting Sdn Berhad in January 2018. He began his sea-going career with Neptune Orient Lines in Singapore and graduated from the Singapore Polytechnic Nautical Section in 1980. He later moved to Perbadanan Nasional Shipping Line (PNSL) in Kuala Lumpur in 1985. In 1990, he obtained the Master Foreign Going Class 1 certification from the Marine Academy Malacca (ALAM). He assumed ship command in 1991 before transitioning to a career in the oil and gas industry.
In August 1991, Captain Jassal joined Sarawak Shell and Sabah Shell as a Marine Operations Supervisor. In January 2001, he took on a new role as the HSSE Advisor to the Logistics Department, overseeing Marine, Aviation, Land Transport, and Warehousing.
In February 2007, he joined Bumi Armada as a Senior HSSE Manager based in Miri and was transferred to the BAB Corporate HSSE team in 2010. From March 2011 to April 2017, he served as the General Manager of HSSEQ in Nigeria and Angola. In 2018 to 2020 he joined Dayang Rock Oil. From July 2021 to 31st July 2024 worked with Sapura Energy Drilling Marine Coordinator, Drilling Senior Marine Manager and Senior Marine Compliance Manager for a year in the E & C Asset division.
